With the axle tubes on, machined and strengthened, planning for the “Satchell Link” rear end could start.
Rear cross member fabricated, upper profile to contour with the floor, lower to match the gearbox X-brace which will help with the drive rain tunnel fab work. Upper trailing arms will mount to this.
We went with the larger diameter stock(see comparison pic) for the trailing arms. Gives a tough look and added strength.
Rod ends with bushings from CRS.
Trailing arms mounting points were templated and fabricated.
Oh, and 31 spline floating hubs ordered this week too.
